COURAGE OF CONVICTIONS
God's goal isn't money, His goal is our heart.
Courage of convictions means to be brave and confident enough to do what you believe in, especially in the face of resistance, criticism or fear.
Courage of conviction enables one to face danger or difficulty with self confidence knowing that it will always turn our for my good.
Joshua 1:6-8
The word success is used only once in the bible and you find it in Joshua 1:8 because God wants success only to be identified with His word and not with any other thing
Joshua 1:9
God told Joshua to be very strong and courageous three times,
- when you're courageous you will be able to observe somethings
- Vs 6 when you're courageous, you will be able to influence the people, you'll be able to change the lives of people.
Three times God spoke to Moses to talk to Joshua, God began to prepare Joshua for leadership
Deut 31:7, 1:38
Encourage means to put courage into someone
Deut 3:28
God wants the people to possess and achieve things but He need someone courageous.
Three times God told Joshua to be courageous, three times God told Moses to encourage Joshua, that mean this is very important to God.
God wants us to be very courageous about our conviction, He wants us to succeed and excel.
Daniel 11:25.
You have to stir up your courage to do the things God called us to do, this is the courage of conviction.
Don't just think you're going to do it, you need to stir up the courage.
Stir up the grace of God in you, the grace of God must be multiplied, you can't stay with the same grace
Courage is a product of conviction and commitment. Are you convinced about the Gospel?
Acts 21:1-16
Rom 15:25
Paul was going to Jerusalem:
1. To minister to the saints
2. To carry his partnership (the giving of the church)
Rom 15:26-28
Four things about Paul from this scripture
1. PURPOSE - you must know the purpose of what we are doing, everything start with a purpose
Acts 20:23-24
When there is a purpose, none of these things move you.
Acts 20:22
When it comes to giving, you're bound to the spirit
2. TIMING Acts 20:16
When it comes to giving, it must be timed and we are in a special time now, this is Rhapathon time. This is the time to sow, this is the Pentecost, this is the gathering and celebration, this is the day of the outpouring of God's spirit.
3. NO DISTRACTION
Paul rejected distractions
Acts 21:8-13
We are not the first people to face persecution when we want to do something for the Lord.
4. INFLUENCE
Paul began to influence others to do the same thing. When you become a partner with convictions, you start raising others too, so out giving doesn't stop with us, our giving becomes an inspiration for others.
Acts 21:1
You have to be courageous about what you believe, stand for what you believe
5. PAY THE PRICE
There is a price to pay for your conviction, it might not be pleasant but it is worth it. Sometimes you will be abused, but continue, the day will come the same people will be proud of you.
1Chronicles 11:10
Mighty means Champion
God wants us to be financial champions, don't just give, break records, don't just break records set new records.
Be the champion because God is raising financial champions
